The vocalists, Dan and Georgia, have been performing together as an acoustic duo since the age of 13. The Piratones formed after meeting the drummer Zebedee and bassist Robbie at Access to Music college. They later won the Atom Live Tour in 2012 and toured the UK. Since then the band has moved into a house together and developed into a 7-piece, incorporating the influences of each member into a head bopping, knees up hot pot.
