Back to my Roots are an 8 piece reggae function band from London and Brighton that perform incredible reggae and ska covers of your favourite pop, rock and reggae songs. Collectively the band members have performed all over the world and have been busy rocking dance floors for more than ten years. Born out of several originals projects, Back to my Roots was first conceived for a friend’s wedding and the party was so successful the band thought it’d be madness not to offer their music to others. Many reggae cover bands and function bands can be quite stale but with such great musicians that are performing in highly successful originals bands regularly you’re sure to be dancing before you know it. Rather than offering a cover all reggae function band agency, Back to My Roots have selected the best and most experienced musicians to create the ultimate live band for your party or wedding. Our resident DJ Thomas James has toured extensively and has the ultimate feel for the dancefloor. More than happy to play requests, both the band and Thomas James will prepare tailored selections to make your event a truly special day. More than comfortable playing in any style they are happy to play anything from classic reggae to ska and dancehall. We work in partnership with the incredible Soundfangled sound hire company to provide you with the ultimate sound quality and the perfect bass so you can feel the music!
